What's the First Step?

Contact me and we will talk.  If your baby is not yet born, I will pencil the time into my schedule and we will set the specific time after the baby is born.

 

When is the best time for my newborn photos?

Within the first 7 days is the ideal time for getting the folded, sleepy baby pictures.  After the first week, the baby is likely to be awake and stretched out.

​What should we bring for our baby?

For newborns:  Bring any sentimental items that you may like {such as a handmade blanket, an item you had as a baby, daddy's glove} or Interesting container the baby may fit inside.  Any cute props you love {such as hair bows, tutus & little man ties, cute jackets} are great for a baby of any age.  Also, be sure to bring a solid, dark color shirt for yourself.



What do you expect from parents?

I will use parents as props and extra hands for small babies.  You may have a profile shot of yourself taken.  For older babies I like the parent's help in getting the baby to smile.



What props are available for our session?

A few various baskets and nondescript containers are available and a few backdrop choices.  I keep my supply very simple because I prefer all the focus to be on the baby.  I will happily use any prop you want to bring with you.

What clothes do you suggest for a maternity session?

Bring the outfit that makes you feel very cute.  Bright colors that make your belly "pop" are great.  A summer dress and boots are just perfect. If you would like any naked belly pictures, I suggest bringing a pair of non-maternity clothes {jeans that you can get on, but not necessarily zip and a fitted shirt that will cover everything but your belly}. 



We have ideas of our own.  Can we try them?

Absolutely.  I have people call me with ideas, email me pictures, or send me their pinterest collection all the time!  I love to know just what you want!



Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes.  In any amount.  Just contact me!



How do I order my pictures?

You can order them from my website, make an appointment to sit down with me, or download from the website and order from your location of choice.  I highly recommend MPIX.com or another professional printing company.  You WILL see a difference between the prints you get from a pro-lab and your local store.  Be sure you have your print release with you if you print locally.  They will ask!



Can I get announcements for my baby?

Yes.  I make custom announcements.  They are 5x7, double-sided cards with 4-5 images of your baby and birth info.  They come in packs of 25 for $30.  



Can I post my photos to facebook?

Yes you can.  Your photos are yours to use for any personal use you deem worthy.  Please tag me or give me some cred if you do.  Thanks!
